SCHEDULE OF CLASSES AND FEES.
Entry fees: £1 initially for up to 4 classes, thereafter 25p per class.
Young People aged 16 and under 10p per class.
Any produce donated will be sold after the Show .

Completed entry forms plus appropriate fees must be received by Thursday August 14th 2008 no later than 7pm.
1. The Hall will be open to receive exhibits from 8.30 a.m. on the 16th of August. Exhibits must be staged by 10.15 a.m. when judging will commence.
2. The judges may diminish or withhold prizes should exhibits be deficient in merit or if there are insufficient entries in a class.
3. Exhibits in sections 1 and 2 Vegetables, 3 Fruit and 4 Flowers, must have been grown by the exhibitor. Pot plants must have been in the exhibitor's own care for at least six months. In all other sections the exhibit must be the exhibitor's own work.
4. Exhibitors are restricted to one entry per class in sections 1 to 6.
5. Classes 73 and 76, photographic entries to be prints, colour or black and white. The shortest dimension of the print shall not exceeed 5 inches (12.5 cms). Prints can be mounted or unmounted but NOT framed under glass. Digital prints are eligible of taken using a digital camera, but NOT those created using a computer.
6. All Exhibits must remain staged until 4.00 p.m.
7. Vases, containers, dishes etc are to be provided by the exhibitor.
8. The organisers will NOT accept responsibility for damage, loss or injury to persons or property arising out of or in connection with the Show. All reasonable care will be taken.
9. All judging will be in accordance with the rules of the Royal Horticultural Society where appropriate.
10. All entries in Classes 76 to 86 (Young People) must have the age of the entrant displayed which will be taken into account by the judges.
Only those entrants who are actually residents of Nynehead, Members of the Garden Club, or who have a direct link with the Village through the School or Church will be eligible to receive any trophies which may be available.
Show preparation.
The following tips are to help you prepare your exhibits for the show. They are not meant to be a complete guide.
Section 1. Vegetables. Care should be taken when lifting and washing root vegetables, making sure that no damage is caused to skins. Peas and beans must be exhibited with stalks. Onions should not be over skinned, tops should be tied down. Beetroot and carrots should have 3 inches, (75cm) of stalk.
Section 3. Fruit. Fruit should be exhibited with stalks and the 'bloom' should not spoiled.
Section 4. Flowers. Foliage should be healthy, particularly on roses and pot plants. Pot plants should be exhibited in a flower pot only with no outer cover.
Section 6. Cookery. All preserves must have neat labels and tidy jam pot covers or non metal twist covers. Plain unidentifiable jars should be used. All cooked items must be covered with clingfilm by the entrant.
All produce will be auctioned off at the end of the Show. Exhibitors who do NOT want their produce sold off should tick the 'no sale' box on the entry form. This DOES NOT APPLY to exhibits in Sections 7, Handicrafts.
